It has began..
At least for us down here in Brazil. the running for the presidency now took off, and once again, we are splattered with lots of stupid jerks saying how good they are, how much the've done to help you and how much they will do wether being picked by you. Just a good exercise for motivating your spirit for this kinda "annoying" idea of citzenship.
Despite most of you think that I'm making fun of the democracy, let me tell you this: If there wasn't democracy I wouldn't be over here writting this things. My complains goes straight flush to the midia whose responsability was not only to explain the whole meaning of the vote but also, explain the conscience that being a citzen goes away far than get stucked into a line thinking that vote is an inopportune obligation.
It's too bad that millions of people over here have this "little problem". Trying to avoid talking about politics. For sure some progress have been made. However, we are too far from other Nations which already discovered the meaning of vote. Perhaps because they developed efficient measures to fight against corruption and their punishments are better off applied.
Sometimes I wonder if just a good education and job would be enough to inform precisely a good citzen. To make him capable to dissociate the good politician to the other ones. the whole tradition of corruption in Brazil kinda mixed into the subconscious of the people and now we have to decide which one could be some sort of "nice thief". It's dangerous to have this thought as much as giving up the right for vote.
that's why its so important to figure out a better way to see how your candidates are stepping aside you. The one and first "boss" is you.
Good Luck

I agree with you when you say that we, brazilians, don´t like to argue about polititians...
the fact is that most of them always say the same thing, that they´ll do their best for our country, but i just can see they taking our money and using it in order to make beneffits for themselves..
we are getting better, talking more about it.. and knowing that with our vote, we can change our country... the only problem is: who is the best (or should i say less worse?!) polititian?
